Lindsey - Wild Wonders, a farm-based hybrid homeschool
Share
This month, we’re proud to introduce Lindsey, a mother, creator, and community builder. She’s raising curiosity, connection, and a new way of learning through nature.
Lindsey is a mom of two, teacher, and founder of Wild Wonders (TK–8th), a farm-based hybrid homeschool program based in Montana where kids learn through play, nature, and creativity. After beginning her teaching career in public education in 2012, Lindsey quickly realized the transformative power of allowing students to be active in their own learning. She went on to teach at two homeschool hybrid programs, where she embraced the freedom to educate in ways that best suited her students needs. Through this journey, she discovered that time spent in nature gives children the chance to build confidence, take healthy risks, and unlock their creativity and imagination. Wild Wonders was born out of this exact dream — to create an educational space where children’s curiosity, natural interests, and immersion in farm and nature experiences could flourish, all while letting kids be kids. At Wild Wonders, children gather eggs, plant seeds, explore math and science through real-life experiences, and learn through activities that are hands-on and lasting. It’s a return to the basics of childhood — where curiosity is nurtured, learning happens outside, and the connection to the land and community is built every day. It’s been a magical experience, not just for Lindsey’s family, but for so many families in the community who have embraced this unique approach to learning.
Lindsey was one of my first friends in motherhood. We met over 10 years ago in a Mommy and Me group, figuring things out together with babies in our arms. Watching her grow into the mother, educator, and community builder she is today has been incredibly inspiring.
Her journey is a reminder that raising children and building dreams can happen hand in hand, grounded in wonder, intention, and a love of learning.
